SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Spaceport Sheboygan is moving from the old Armory Building across the river to the South Pier District. Daniel Bateman, executive director, made the announcement Friday morning in the Triple Play Fun Zone building, Spaceport’s new home. He said Spaceport has signed a long-term lease with Blue Harbor, which owns the building.
Bateman says they will be taking over the first floor of the building, which will include hands-on displays, while the second floor will house Cosmic Bounce featuring space-themed inflatable attractions, slides and jumps and party rooms for private functions.
Mayor Mike Vandersteen joined a group of dignitaries on hand for the announcement this morning. He hopes this move will be a jump start to other new businesses and growth on the city's South Pier.
Bateman said they hope to be open to the public by March.
