SEATTLE, WA (WHBL) - The Milwaukee Brewers put on a scoring display at Safeco Field Friday night, defeating the Seattle Mariners 10-5. First baseman Yuniesky Betancourt hit a grand slam in a big fifth inning for the Brewers. Pitcher Kyle Lohse picked up his eighth win of the season behind seven innings of work, allowing six hits, three runs and striking out seven. Some bad news, though – second baseman Rickie Weeks is done for the season after an M-R-I revealed a torn left hamstring. Weeks was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Thursday, after suffering the injury on Wednesday night.
The Brewers and Mariners will meet again Saturday night. Pregame coverage on WHBL gets underway at 7:45.
