MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) - The Milwaukee Brewers scored five runs in the sixth inning Sunday afternoon to beat the Washington Nationals, 8-5 at Miller Park. The Brewers were down 4-1 when they staged their big rally.  Carlos Gomez drove in the first run with a sacrifice fly.  Khris Davis had a pinch-hit infield single to score a run. Juan Francisco hit an R-B-I double past first base, which ticked the bag and stayed fair. And Jeff Bianchi had a two-run bloop single to center. Bianchi also drove in the final run in the eighth with a suicide squeeze bunt.  Each team had eight hits. Adam LaRoche and Anthony Rendon homered for the Nationals, who failed to complete a three-game sweep of the Crew. Milwaukee starter Kyle Lohse hit his first two batters of the season. John Axford got the win in relief, despite giving up LaRoche’s homer. He’s now 5-4. Jim Henderson threw a hitless ninth for his 15th save. Fernando Abad took the loss, giving up the final two runs in the sixth.   The Brewers snapped a three-game losing streak, and will open a series at San Francisco tonight.  Right-hander Tyler Thornburg faces Giants’ right-hander Chad Gaudin.  Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 8:40.
