BAYFIELD, WI (WTAQ) - It’s been almost a month since spring officially began – and there are still 13-inches of snow on the ground north of Bayfield.
That’s one of the areas under a winter storm warning.
Forecasters say northwest Wisconsin could get 3-to-6 inches of snow this afternoon and into tomorrow.
Bayfield’s latest snowfall came early this morning. Other parts of far northwest Wisconsin also picked up a couple inches.
For the rest of the Badger State rain could be a problem.
Forecasters say the region will not get as much as anticipated, since the heaviest stuff is falling to the south in Illinois. But Kenosha had just under three-inches of rain by mid-morning – and some roads are closed in Milwaukee County.
The storm activity is expected to move out sometime tomorrow.
