SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The Sheboygan woman who died Monday in a crash caused by a medical condition has now been identified as 56 year old Bernice Winter. Sheboygan Police said Winter died after her car crashed into another car and then careened into a home at North 8th and Superior in the city of Sheboygan. Police said it happened about 4:30pm when Winter apparently suffered a medical problem. Sgt. Kurt Zempel said her car collided with a car driven by 48 year old David Schmeiser, of Sheboygan, and then left the road, hit a tree and rolled over before slamming into a house. Winter had to be freed from the wreckage and was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Zempel said Schmeiser suffered minor injury while his 11 year old son, who was with him, wasn’t injured. The home that was struck is owned by Daniel Wilson and sustained extensive damage to a front wall and window.
