SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Sentencing for an elderly Sheboygan woman convicted in the death of her infant daughter 56 years ago has been postponed. 76 year old Ruby Klokow was scheduled to appear before Judge Angela Sutkievicz this afternoon, but District Attorney Joe DeCecco said the proceeding has been adjourned at the request of her attorney and rescheduled for May first. Klokow's 7-month old daughter died in 1957 and the death was ruled accidental. However, the case was re-opened in 2008 after her adult son came forward. That touched off a year-long investigation which ended when Klokow was charged with 2nd degree murder.
