SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - August unemployment numbers were released Wednesday, and in Sheboygan County, it was all good news. The city of Sheboygan saw unemployment fall from 8.3% in July to 7.9% in August. The county rate was at 6.6% in August, down from 6.8% in July. Unemployment in the county and city is also lower than it was at this time last year, when unemployment in the city was at 9%, and countywide at 7.2%. The same is true statewide, where unemployment rates declined in all metro areas statewide between July and August.
