CORVALLIS, OR (WHBL) - The Wisconsin Badgers try to make it two straight wins after a scary season opener, while the Oregon Beavers just want to start the season on the right foot. Wisconsin brings a 1-0 record into this afternoon’s game at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, Oregon. The Badgers held off a late rally by Northern Iowa to take last week’s first game of the 2012 season, 26-21. A light wind and temperatures in the upper 80s are forecast for the West Coast inter-league contest. It’s Wisconsin’s first road game of the young season and the first game of any kind for the Beavers. The Badgers will be trying to go 2-0 for the 11th consecutive season – a mark matched only by the University of Southern California. Wisconsin beat Oregon in Madison last season, 35-0. And, it’s the first game for the Beavers because last week’s trip to Nicholls State was canceled by Hurricane Isaac. Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 1pm with kickoff at 3 o'clock.
