GREEN BAY, WI (WHBL) - Both teams are missing significant players as the Jacksonville Jaguars invade Lambeau Field today to take on the Packers. Packer defensive back Charles Woodson is expected to miss at least six weeks with a broken collarbone - the second time he’s suffered that injury in his career. Wide receiver Greg Jennings, fullback John Kuhn, linebacker Nick Perry and cornerback Sam Shields have all been ruled out, while wide receiver Jordy Nelson is questionable with a hamstring injury.
Jaguar quarterback Blaine Gabbert practiced Saturday and is hoping to play, but running back Maurice Jones-Drew is definitely out. Even with Gabbert and Jones-Drew in the lineup, Jacksonville is the worst statistical offense in the NFL. The Green Bay ground game has been very weak since Cedric Benson went down with an injury, but Jacksonville is 29th among the 32 teams in stopping the run. They’ll have a chance to try to do just that in today’s contest with a 12 noon kickoff. Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 10am.
