Packers Win Back To Back Games For First Time This Season

ST. LOUIS, MO (WHBL) - The Green Bay Packers are above .500 for the first time this season, after beating the Rams in Saint Louis 30-20 Sunday afternoon. Aaron Rodgers completed 30 of 37 passes for 342 yards and three touchdowns, as the Packers improved to 4-3 and earned their first back-to-back victories of the year. Rodgers had a passer rating of 132.2 with the third-highest completion percentage in his career at 81.1.  The Rams jumped out to a 3-0 on a 50-yard field goal by Greg Zuerlein midway through the first quarter. The Packers went in front for good with 5:23 left in the opening period, when Rodgers hit Jordy Nelson from three yards out. Saint Louis got to within a touchdown with 8:50 left, when Steven Jackson ran it in from six yards out. But the Pack sealed the victory with 3:06 left on a 39-yard scoring strike to Randall Cobb – the second of his two touchdowns on the day. Mason Crosby booted three field goals of 48, 47, and 23 yards. Nelson was Green Bay's leading receiver with eight catches for 122 yards. Alex Green ran for 35 yards on 20 carries. Green Bay outgained Saint Louis with 402 total yards to 354. The Packer defense forced two turnovers on a lost fumble and a Sam Bradford interception to rookie Casey Hayward. Green Bay did not have any giveaways. Bradford threw for 255 yards and a score. Jackson ran for 57 yards, and Chris Givens had three catches for 73 yards as the Rams fell to 3-4. They've lost two straight, and the Pack handed Saint Louis its first loss at home.  On the injury front, fullback John Kuhn aggravated a calf injury. Defensive end Mike Neal left in the first half when he hurt his right knee.  The Packers are back home next Sunday against Jacksonville.
