SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - The Board of Education for the Sheboygan Area School District was presented with a budget of $130 million for the upcoming school year. Assistant Superintendent Gretchen Thomes says equalized aids and student counts are both up this year, although equalized property values are down in the city of Sheboygan. The good news is that the tax levee goes down $1.2 million from where it was in 2012. Thomes says the district continues to find ways to be more efficient and save money. The budget will be voted on by the board next week.
