SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - Three people spoke during the public hearing for the budget at the Common Council meeting Monday night. The finance committee put together a 2013 budget with input from all of the city departments, while Mayor Terry Van Akkeren pitched his own version of the budget last month without the garbage collection fee, and a reduction to the health insurance fund. The finance committee rejected that budget and submitted their budget for approval, which won’t happen until November. Two of the citizens that spoke out last night were in support of Mead Public Library. The budget will be passed by the council in November.
