MADISON, Wis. (WHBL) - Outgoing Sheboygan County Clerk Julie Glancey has received the highest honor given out by the Wisconsin Counties Association. The group has selected Glancey to receive their “Friend in County Government” award for her outstanding service to the county, the association and counties statewide. Glancey will retire when her term ends in January after nearly 40 years in county government, the last 18 as county clerk. Mark O’Connell, WCA Executive Director, said Glancey was involved in redistricting three times during her tenure. He said when the WCA was looking for county officials to provide guidance they turned to Glancey who was one of the most experienced county officials in the state.
