MADISON, Wis. (WHBL) - Deer hunt numbers in Sheboygan County and statewide are up this year. Figures from the DNR indicate there were 1,494 deer taken in Sheboygan County during the 9-day hunt. That’s 103 more than last year - an increase of 16 percent. Statewide, the kill was up by about 8 percent. The number of bucks taken in Sheboygan County this year totaled 560, or 61 more than last year. That’s a 12 percent increase.
