GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - Green Bay Senator Dave Hansen wants to ban robo-calls for political purposes.
In a release from the Democrat's office, it says both federal and state law limit the types of robo-calls a consumer or business may receive, and this would also ban their use in political campaigns.
Hansen says he heard from people who received five to ten or more calls a day during the run-up to November 6th general election.
Hansen hopes to introduce legislation during the upcoming session.
If it becomes law, the release says it would make Wisconsin the third state to ban robo-calls for political purposes.
