SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - Sheboygan Mayor Terry Van Akkeren and some members of the city council remain at odds over the 2013 budget as it comes up for final action during tonight’s regular council meeting. Van Akkeren continues to maintain that he will veto any budget that crosses his desk with the garbage collection fee included. Van Akkeren has contended that the budget also contains too much in cash reserves and can be cut in other areas. The Finance Committee led by Chairman Don Hammond disagree. The council meets tonight at 7 in city hall.
