Move aside, Eddie Murphy there's a new cop headed to America's deadliest zipcode. Brandon T. Jackson just nabbed the titular role in CBS' reboot of the Beverly Hills Cop film franchise, which already has a pilot production commitment. Murphy will exec produce along with The Shield/Last Resort creator Shawn Ryan, who is also penning the script.
Jackson, who you may know from Tropic Thunder, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, or a Tyler Perry movie, will play Murphy's character Axel's son, a blue collar cop who struggles with living under his father's shadow. Of course, this means that Murphy will occasionally pop up, so that father and son can fight Beverly Hills' top villains Taylor Armstrong, Adrienne Maloof, Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump's dog, and Khloe Kardashian-Odom together. We can't wait.
