UNDATED (WHBL) - Millions across the western United States and as far away as Southeast Asia turned their gazes skyward yesterday to witness the first annular eclipse in nearly two decades, The moon, while at its furthest point from the Earth, made a direct pass in front of the sun, blocking most of it out in a rare event that looks like a ring of fire. The entire eclipse lasted several hours, but the ring of fire effect could only be glimpsed for a few minutes. It was, however, immortalized on the Internet with hundreds upon hundreds of images posted to sites like Twitter and Facebook. WHBL's Kevin Zimmerman snapped a picture, seen above, about 7:43 Saturday night from Cedar Grove.
