SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - A Campbellsport man has been formally charged for allegedly stealing jewelry from his mother to fund his drug addictions. 35 year old Brian Bengry was formally charged Tuesday with felony theft charges after his mother reported thefts of jewelry from her home. According to the criminal complaint, Bengry had been living with his mother for over a year and a half and had a drug problem, and knows he had been pawning off a lot of items in the area. An investigation revealed over $2500 worth of jewelry had been taken between December and March of this year. The woman’s boyfriend also told officers that many of his firearms had also gone missing during that time. Many of the items reported missing were located at jewelry shops in southeast Wisconsin. If convicted, Bengry is facing 3 ½ years in prison.
