LA CROSSE, WI (WTAQ) - A La Crosse man will spend almost nine months in prison for hiding the body of a man who died from a drug overdose.
57-year-old Robert Moss was sentenced this week to a year in a state facility. But he was given credit for 105 days spent in the county jail while his court case was going through the system.
Authorities said Moss hid the body of 41-year-old Anthony Ducharme in a La Crosse park, after the victim died from a drug overdose last August.
Moss pleaded no contest to a charge of hiding a corpse. A charge of obstructing an officer was dropped in a plea deal.
Moss’s 26-year-old son and another person are still charged with providing Ducharme with the drugs that killed him.
