MADISON, WI (WHBL) - Neillsville had a shooting edge of 45-to-36 percent, as it eliminated Howards Grove last night 53-to-41 in the Division 4 girls basketball state semifinal at the Kohl Center. Neillsville, which remains undefeated with a 27-0 record, had a significant rebounding edge as well, 32-20. The game was tied at the half, 19-19, but Howards Grove was down by a 33-26 margin at the end of the third quarter. Neillsville then went on to score the first six points of the fourth quarter to pull away. Neillsville will play for the Division 4 championship against Oshkosh Lourdes on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Oostburg girls will play in the Division 3 semi-finals this morning against East Troy.
