KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO) -- A second suspect in a 5-year-old murder in Kalamazoo has been formally charged and ordered held without bond in the Kalamazoo County Jail after he was returned from Sacramento, California to face charges.
Twenty-four-year-old Roderique Rolark is charged with participating in the robbery and murder of the night manager at the Stadium Drive Discount Coin Laundry in 2007. Fifty-nine-year-old Daniel McNeill survived numerous stab wounds long enough to give Public Safety information about his attackers.
Christopher Levitt, who had been fired from his job at the laundry two weeks before the killing, has already been convicted and is serving time for the robbery-murder. Rolark is his cousin and is charged with felony murder, and could get life without parole if convicted.
