CHICAGO (WTAQ) - A suburban Chicago man has pleaded not guilty to 14 criminal charges that he killed a Wisconsin man and injured two others in a bar brawl.
27-year-old Daniel Olaska entered his pleas Monday in DuPage County Illinois, where a grand jury recently indicted him.
Authorities said 24-year-old Shaun Wild, formerly of Brown Deer, was stabbed to death on February 4th when he tried to break up a scuffle between one of his friends and Olaska. The friend and a tavern employee were wounded.
The incident happened at a bar in Naperville Illinois, where Wild was in his first year as a 2nd-grade elementary teacher.
During Monday’s hearing, Olaska’s defense lawyer asked for all video of the incident from the bar’s security cameras.
Olaska remains in jail without bond. A $3 million bond was recently revoked.
