BELOIT, WI (WTAQ) - Beloit police say a person walking a dog found a woman’s body Saturday afternoon.

There were apparent signs of trauma on the body, with an autopsy scheduled to be done Sunday.

The body was found in a water retention pond at a Walmart parking lot.

The victim is described as an adult white female. Though a tentative identification has been made, the name hasn't been released yet.
