Jermaine Jones' troubled history was addressed at the start of the show on Wednesday (14Mar12) as host Ryan Seacrest confirmed the singer would be given the boot.
Seacrest told viewers that TV bosses had received information that ""left us with no choice but to eliminate one of our finalists from the competition"".
Footage of executive producers Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick confronting Jones about his four outstanding arrest warrants was aired later in the episode.
When asked why he concealed his past, Jones admitted, ""I just was scared, nervous. I didn't want to get judged. I didn't want to get penalised.""
Three warrants were issued after Jones allegedly drove on a suspended licence and the fourth was for disorderly conduct.
