GREEN BAY, WI (WHBL) - Either the Green Bay Packers will have to find their new center among the current free agent class, or they will have to consider players like Wisconsin’s Peter Konz or Kevin Zeitler. Last year’s starter, Scott Wells, has signed a contract with the St. Louis Rams. Wells had played well since he almost lost his starting job two years ago. Since then, Packer coach Mike McCarthy called him the team’s best offensive lineman as recently as 2010. Veterans still available on the free agent market are Houston’s Chris Myers and New England’s Dan Koppen, Samson Satele of Oakland and Jeff Saturday from Indianapolis.
