MIDDLETON, WI (WTAQ) - A woman was killed and a 14-month girl was injured when a car rolled over near Middleton.

It happened just after 2:30 p.m. Thursday on Highway 14.

Dane County sheriff’s deputies said a 37-year-old woman lost control of her car, and it overturned. She was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The baby girl was in a child-restraint seat, and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The highway was closed for about two-and-a-half hours for clean-up and investigation.

Authorities are still trying to figure out why the crash occurred. The victims’ names were not immediately released.
