MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - A Dane County judge has agreed to dates for recall elections against Governor Scott Walker and five other Republican lawmakers.
On Wednesday, Circuit Judge Richard Niess signed off on a deal to make May 8 the primary for recall elections that require one and June 5 for the general recall election. Races which don't require a primary, the general election will take place May 8.
Niess agreed to a deal that was reached on Tuesday by attorneys for the Government Accountability Board, recall committees and recall targets.
Earlier this week, the GAB voted to order recalls against 4 GOP state senators, finding that enough valid signatures were submitted to force elections. Meantime, officials are still reviewing petitions against Governor Walker and Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch.
