GREEN BAY, WI (WHBL) - NFL free agents can start shopping around for new teams at three o'clock this afternoon -- and not much has been said lately about the Green Bay Packers’ prospects of re-signing center Scott Wells and corner Jarrett Bush. They’re reportedly general manager Ted Thompson’s top priorities for new contracts, but both expect to shop around if they’re not signed today. The Packers have also said they’d like free agent running back Ryan Grant to return – and he’s expected to look around as well. Backup quarterback Matt Flynn is expected to look for a place where he can be a starter, but he may have to wait until Peyton Manning signs with somebody. Nose tackle Howard Green, linebacker Erik Walden, and corner Pat Lee are Green Bay’s other free agents. The Packers are reportedly about seven-million dollars below the NFL's new salary cap of 120-point-six million dollars. And they have the ability to create more cap space by restructuring one or more other veteran contracts.
