INDIANAPOLIS, IN (WKZO) The Michigan State Spartans redeemed themselves for a late season losss to the Ohio State Buckeyes Sunday in Indianapolis. The Spartans used a strong effort from Brandon Wood who scored 21 points to secure their first title since Mateen Cleaves led the Spartans to the 2000 National Title.

The Spartans also secured one of the four coveted number 1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament during Sundays selection show.  The Buckeyes received a 2 seed while Michigan was able to grab one of the 4 seeds in the tournament.
