NEENAH, Wis (WSAU) Police in Neenah are seeking attempted homicide charges against a 17-year-old girl for trying to run over two teenagers with her car. The girl was in jail yesterday.
Police Chief Kevin Wilkinson said the suspect was driving on Sunday night when an 18-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl walked up to the vehicle – and the driver went forward to try and run them over. The two girls clung to the hood as the driver reportedly tried to shake them off the vehicle by driving erratically. Wilkinson said the 18-year-old suffered major injuries, including head trauma – and she could suffer a permanent loss of function. The 15-year-old escaped with minor injuries.
The chief said the driver fled, but she later went to the Neenah police station with her father, and was arrested. Detectives are still trying to figure out why the incident occurred.
