SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - The interchange at I-43 and Rowe Road that was the center of a lawsuit in 2010 will finally be built, thanks to a $500,000 grant awarded to Sheboygan County by Governor Scott Walker. Kim Rudat, with the State DOT, says the contract was recently signed to build an event-only ramp from I-43 northbound to Rowe road to help manage traffic during major golfing events at Whistling Straits. In 2010, the southbound ramp from I-43 was constructed, but landowners filed suit to stop the northbound interchange, which they lost in court. Construction is expected to begin on July 16, and be completed by September.
