CINCINNATI, OH (WHBL) - The Cincinnati Reds edged out a 4-3 victory of the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night. Through seven innings the Brewers couldn't manage a hit off Reds pitcher Bronson Arroyo. Then Arroyo walked George Kottaras with one out, and then gave up a double by Taylor Green. Corey Hart had a pinch-hit double that cut it to 3-2, and a single by Nori Aoki singled to tie it up. The tie breaker came when Cincinnati's Drew Stubbs hit a one-run homer off John Axford in the bottom of the eighth. Axford has now allowed a run in seven of his last 11 appearances. In the ninth, Aroldis Chapman struck out Martin Maldonado to close the game. The Brewers will try to avoid getting swept in today's series finale. Coverage on WHBL begins this morning at 11 o'clock.
