SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man charged a few weeks ago with allegedly stealing a pitbull is now facing 22 counts of theft for breaking into vehicles around Sheboygan. 20 year old John Cassabaum was formally charged Monday in Sheboygan County Court after police caught his accomplice with a backpack full of stolen goods recently, and he admitted to breaking into vehicles with Cassabaum over the course of several months. While entering the vehicles, the two managed to make off with electronics, cash, cigarettes, credit cards, change, and weapons. Each count of theft carries a 9 month jail sentence. Cassabaum was charged January 5th after stealing a pitbull puppy from a home on Erie Avenue. That charge carries a 3 year prison sentence.
