KOHLER, Wis. (WHBL) - Kohler Company announced plans to shut down one of its three faucet manufacturing plants due to the recession. A news release issued Wednesday afternoon outlines plans to shut down the 120,000 square foot Malvern, Arkansas plant in the next 60 days, and re-locate many of their production staff to either the nearby Sheridan facility, or to Kohler. A Kohler spokesperson said 30 jobs will be coming to the Kohler operation. The shutdown is expected to be complete in 60 days, and none of the positions will be transferred overseas. Kohler took ownership of the Malvern production facility in 1990.
