MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - A spokesperson for AAA Wisconsin says the price of gasoline could dip below $3 a gallon next year.
Nationwide prices have been dropping since the middle of September.
As of last Friday, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded gasoline in Wisconsin was $3.22.
Some retailers are already selling gas near $3 a gallon in southeastern and western Wisconsin.
The last time the average price of gas fell below $3 in Wisconsin was just before Christmas two years ago.
