FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) - A trial is underway in the case of a Fond du Lac man accused of killing his wife.
36-year-old Jason Anderson is charged with homicide and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. Prosecutors said he shot 33-year-old Nicole Anderson in the head in November of last year.
Defense lawyer Robin Shellow said it was all an accident. Shellow said Anderson heard a noise and fired a gun through his bedroom wall – and the first shot caused the firing of a second shot, which killed Nicole.
District Attorney Dan Kaminsky told jurors that Anderson did not call for help after the incident – and police had to arrest him two days later at a motel in Birmingham Alabama.
Anderson’s trial is scheduled to last just short of three weeks.
