PEORIA, AZ (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers were held to one hit in a 9-0 loss to the An Diego Padres in Peoria on Tuesday. San Diego scored seven times in the third inning, with five of those unearned.
David Phelps took the loss. Logan Morrison had the lone hit for the Crew, which hosts the White Sox today.
Meanwhile, the Brewers are close to locking up star slugger Christian Yelich to a huge contract. Multiple reports say they are finalizing a nine-year, 215-million-dollar deal that would run through 2028.
Yelich is the two-time defending NL batting champ and the 2018 MVP.
