MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) - Corey Hart belted a grand slam in the eighth inning Thursday night to give the Milwaukee Brewers a 7-4 come from behind victory over the Philadelphia Phillies at Miller Park. Rickie Weeks started the rally with two out, when he reached on a throwing error by third baseman Kevin Frandsen. Josh Lindblom then relieved Phillies’ starter Cliff Lee. Ryan Braun was intentionally walked, and Aramis Ramirez got a free pass before Hart pounded his second career grand slam. And that was after Hart struck out three times against Lee, who tied a season-high with 12 K’s. Lee also gave up a pair of solo homers to Ryan Braun – his first since August first. Ramirez also homered. Lindblom took the loss and dropped to 2-3 on the year. Livan Hernandez struck out a pair in the eighth to get the win. He’s now 4-1. Jim Henderson picked up his third save. Brewers’ starter Marco Estrada gave up four runs in five innings, and he’s now gone 15 starts without a win, dating back to last August. The Brewers won their seventh straight home game, while ending a three-game overall losing streak. They’ll host the Phillies again tonight. Right-hander Yovani Gallardo starts against Phillies’ righty Vance Worley. Coverage on WHBL begins at 6:35.
