FREDONIA, Wis. (WHBL) - The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Department has received numerous calls to their 911 system of large fires burning at farms near Fredonia this morning. Dispatchers say two separate farms on Highway 57 had been storing trash to burn right before a rain storm, and ignited these fires this morning, in anticipation of the rain we’ve been seeing. One may have been started by a lightning strike, but dispatchers assure us that neither are out of control.
