MADISON, Wis. (WHBL) - Wisconsin’s First Lady is recovering nicely after she had her appendix removed early this morning. Governor Scott Walker’s wife Tonette went to a hospital yesterday after she had chest pains. She was released, but she returned later for more tests. And Walker spokesman Cullen Werwie said Tonette had a successful appendectomy overnight. The governor was attending a vigil for the victims of the Oak Creek temple shootings when his wife returned to the hospital – and he left the vigil early to be with her. Walker also canceled two appearances scheduled for today in Hancock and Janesville.
