ST LOUIS, MO (WHBL) - The Brewers jumped out to a 1-0 lead over the Cardinals on Saturday night, but that would be all they could muster against Cards' ace Adam Wainwright in a 6-1 loss at Busch Stadium. Wainwright pitched a complete game, allowing just 5 hits. Things looked good early, as Carlos Gomez started the game with a double, then was brought home on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Braun. But the Brewers' bats went silent from that point on. Mark Rogers made his second start at a Brewer and took the loss. He gave up 4 runs in the third inning and was pulled from the game after five innings of play. It was the eighth straight road loss for the Brew Crew. The Cardinals will go for the sweep tonight.
