SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man who was involved in a standoff that lasted into the early hours of Wednesday morning has been formally charged in Sheboygan County Court. 22 year old Patric Olson is facing multiple charges following the standoff that took place in the 800 block of New York Avenue Tuesday afternoon. According to the criminal complaint, Olson has a history of mental problems, and was shouting at officers incoherently Tuesday afternoon when they were dispatched to his apartment. Olson's neighbor told authorities that their family is fearful of Olson, saying that there are times where he “completely scares them.” The standoff lasted for hours, while Olson would scream at the top of his lungs, threaten to kill officers, and wouldn't come out because he didn't want to be arrested. Olson finally came out of the apartment around 2am, at which time officers placed him under arrest. If convicted on all counts, he's facing up to 5 years in prison.
