Now I don't have a Bible handy right now, but I'm pretty sure it says somewhere in there that it's sort of frowned upon to cheat on your spouse. In fact, I think it's one of those Ten Commandments. But apparently in the heroic and flawless eyes of Gwyneth Paltrow, an affair is not the worst thing that can happen. Since the world needs to know more of what goes on in that genius mind of hers, the actress shared her views about marriage and fidelity, saying, ""I am a great romantic - but I also think you can be a romantic and a realist. Life is complicated and long and I know people that I respect and admire and look up to who have had extra-marital affairs."" Well there you have it -- after almost 8 years of marriage, she's suddenly an expert on the matter. Her hubby Chris Martin probably feels relieved in knowing that if any ""rumors"" leak about him having an affair with a fan, groupie, what have you, his marriage will still be intact because hey, it happens.
The marriage guru goes on to say, ""It's like we're flawed - we're human beings and sometimes you make choices that other people are going to judge. That's their problem but I really think that the more I live my life the more I learn not to judge people for what they do. I think we're all trying our best but life is complicated."" That's totally true -- we shouldn't be held responsible for our actions and whatever bad decisions we make because we're all learning in this fun little classroom called life. Her theories would be a big hit in prisons, that's for sure. Paltrow does stress, however, that she is very happy with her family, gushing, ""I'm lucky - I have a wonderful, blessed life. I have two fantastically delightful children and a very nice husband."" Of course he's nice, you're cool with him cheating -- if anything he's grateful.
Gwyneth is starring in the upcoming movie, Contagion, which is about a deadly virus trying to wipe out humanity, but she's not worried about the future of her children. In the Paltrow Words of Wisdom 101 she states, ""We live in an over-populated planet and the farming practices, the way we're cutting down forests, we're going to be seeing more of this kind of thing but you can worry or just not worry."" Based on previous comments, I'm going to suspect that she would go the ""not worry"" route since that seems to be her theme for life in general. Good luck Chris -- neither cheating nor a deadly virus is going to get you out of this marriage.
