MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - A Milwaukee police officer is expected to be okay after he accidentally shot himself in the foot.
Televised reports indicate the 29 year old officer and his partner were on patrol early Saturday when they spotted several people in a business parking lot.
As they drove up the officers say they heard several gun shots.
While getting out of the car, the officer was taking his gun out of its holster when he accidentally pulled the trigger.
The bullet hit him in the heel of his right foot.
One suspect was arrested at the scene and a gun was recovered.
