MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - Governor Scott Walker failed to keep a campaign promise, not paying the full cost of his state pension until August. During the campaign the governor had said he would begin paying for his pension when he took office. An Associated Press open records request revealed Walker failed to do so until the new state law forced him to. Democrats were livid when contacted. One party spokesman said Walker is asking state workers to do what he won’t. Next month, Democrats, state unions and others say they will start collecting signatures to force a recall of the governor for next year.
