RACINE, WI (WTAQ) - Prosecutors in Racine said a customer tried to rob the same Subway restaurant twice in four days. 43-year-old Lavel Scott of Racine is charged with armed robbery and attempted robbery. According to authorities, Scott entered the restaurant November seventh, asked a cashier for cookies, and then pointed a round object from his sweat-shirt and demanded money. He reportedly ran off after getting an undisclosed amount of cash. On November 10th, prosecutors said the restaurant staff recognized the person who robbed them earlier – and he walked out after they refused to give him the money he demanded. A judge ordered a five-thousand-dollar bond for Scott. He’s due back in court a week from tomorrow, when a judge will decide if there’s enough evidence to order a trial.
