MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - The Dane County Courthouse in Madison was locked down for five minutes today, after an inaccurate report that a man was holding a woman at gunpoint. Sheriff’s spokeswoman Elise Schaefer said an employee called 911 just after noon, and said the man was holding the gun to the woman’s head. Bailiffs locked the courthouse doors, as Madison Police set up a perimeter outside. But investigators quickly found that the woman’s husband had sent her a text message of him holding a gun to his head – he was not actually in the building. Police said officers later found the man at home, and he could face domestic-related charges.
