SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - A Sheboygan family is without a home after a fire early Sunday morning. Shift Commander Vernon Cook says they received a 911 call of a fire at 2621 N. 31st Street. When firefighters arrived on the scene, the home had been evacuated. The fire was reported at the rear of the home - specifically the kitchen area. Firefighters quickly put out the fire, which had burned through to the outside of the home. Damage from the fire and smoke damage is estimated at $125,000. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire, and nobody was injured as a result of the fire.
