SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - Even though the citizens to recall Sheboygan Mayor Bob Ryan have turned in more than enough signatures to force a recall election, the City Council pushes forward with it’s efforts to remove the mayor from office following his latest drinking episode last July. Attorney Joseph Voelkner tells WHBL News that the committee met in closed session for about 3 hours Wednesday night and received an update from special prosecutor Steven Biskupik as to his ongoing investigation in the proceedings. At present, the investigation will continue, and an update will be provided at the next committee of the whole on November 16th. The investigation will determine if there’s enough evidence to order a quasi-judicial hearing to force the mayor out of office.
